NOVEL EFFECT CEO TO PRESENT AT THE 2019 ALEXA CONFERENCE IN CHATTANOOGA, TN
MATTHEW HAMMERSLEY TO FOCUS ON THE FUTURE OF VOICE IN STORYTELLING

CHATTANOOGA, TN -- 16 January 2019 -- Matthew Hammersley, the Co-Founder and CEO of the groundbreaking voice-interactive entertainment company Novel Effect, will participate in two presentations during the annual Alexa Conference being held this week.

Hammersley will present a 45-minute session Novel Effect: Using Voice To Re-Write The Rules Of Storytelling And Publishing in which he will explore the opportunities for enhanced storytelling in our increasingly voice-driven world.  He will walk through Novel Effect’s creative process, as well as go beyond the book to discuss applications for voice technology in story-driven entertainment categories such as interactive video and games.

Novel Effect’s free flagship mobile application of the same name uses voice recognition to bring books of all kinds to life by syncing background music and sound effects to a storyteller’s voice as they read a book aloud.

Hammersley will also participate in a panel discussion How the Alexa Accelerator Has Changed Voice Technology providing his perspectives as an Accelerator participant alongside Milkana Brace, Founder and CEO, Jargon; Rodrigo Prudencio, Alexa Fund; and Dylan Zwick Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Pulse Labs.  The panel, moderated by VoiceFirst’s Bradley Metrock, will share some of their experiences since the Alexa Accelerator began and the magnitude of the impact the program has already managed to achieve.

“In an era where content is king, voice provides an entirely new avenue for development, innovation and growth.," said Hammersley. "I feel honored to be one of the companies invited to present at this year’s Alexa Conference and look forward to meeting others who are working to define this new entertainment medium.”

Hammersley is scheduled to speak at 9:15 am on Wednesday, January 16. The panel is scheduled to begin at 3:45 pm on Wednesday, January 16.
